Home Evaluation

Impact Therapy provides Home Evaluations that help optimize an individual's independence and safety in their home environment as well as promote participation in and satisfaction with activities of daily living. Impact Therapy is skilled in recognizing how one's environment can affect their ability to perform necessary and desired activities of daily living.

Attendant Care Evaluation

Impact Therapy provides Attendant Care Evaluations that identify the quantity and complexity of care an individual requires after they have sustained a significant or traumatic injury. Recommendations are based on the client's specific needs for their care, recovery, and rehabilitation. We aim to increase independence, promote health, and prevent further decline or injury.

Home and Community-Based Occupational Therapy

Impact Therapy provides client-centered home and community-based occupational therapy services with a focus on promoting independence and participation in desired occupations. Treatment extends beyond the home environment to reintegrate the client into the community including school and work. We develop creative solutions to engage the client and improve their overall quality of life.

Worksite Evaluation

Impact Therapy provides evaluation and treatment to facilitate an individual's return-to-work. This evaluation process is customized to meet the unique circumstances of the employee as well as the needs of the employer. Physical, cognitive, mental health and/or environmental barriers are considered in order to address areas of concern and identify how these factors can be addressed to support the employee in successfully managing the demands of their job. Job coaching is provided to ensure progress with return-to-work plans as well as to provide education and training in various areas including ergonomics, cognitive strategies, symptom management, biomechanics, and safe work practices. 

Equipment Evaluation

Impact Therapy provides evaluations to determine appropriate durable medical equipment to promote the client's independence, safety, and participation in desired and necessary occupations within their home and community. We partner with various vendors/ATPs throughout Michigan to support equipment decisions, including provision of supplemental documentation needed to support the need for the equipment.
